The Championship is starting to take shape with Bristol City on the way up the table and Saturday's opponents Reading heading in the other direction.

Jamie Paterson scored Bristol City's winner the last time they visited Reading and could get on the scoresheet again.

Bristol City have put in some solid performances away from home this season and they will fancy their chances of enjoying another solid afternoon when they head to Reading.

Reading were the early pacesetters in the Championship but they start this weekend’s round of fixtures in sixth after a torrid run of results.

Royals Crown Starting to Slip

The Royals are winless in five, losing four times during that sequence, and face a difficult task in trying to turn that form around on Saturday.

It’s also worth noting that each of their last two home engagements have ended in 3-0 defeats at the hands of Preston and Stoke.

Bristol City have been one of the in-form sides over recent weeks and they head to the Madejski Stadium in third spot after a four-game unbeaten streak.

The Robins’ three-match winning run was ended in midweek when they were held to a 0-0 draw by promotion rivals Watford.

Punters can get a very attractive 21/10 for a Bristol City win this weekend as they look to follow up on last season’s 1-0 triumph in this fixture.

Jamie Paterson scored the only game in that game and, having already notched three times this term, offers plenty of value at 3/1 in the anytime goalscorer market.

Sky Blues to Offer Little Resistance

Coventry returned to the Championship this term and have shown some signs that they could avoid an immediate return to League One.

A home victory over Cardiff last time out has them sitting three points clear of the relegation zone.

All but one of their nine points this season have come on home soil and that will be a concern as they travel to table-toppers Norwich on Saturday.

The Canaries have made a fine start to the campaign as they look to go straight back up to the Premier League.

Keeping the likes of Todd Cantwell, Teemu Pukki and Emiliano Buendia has been key to their success.

Norwich are unbeaten in nine games, winning seven of those, and have only tasted defeat once at home this season.

Backing a Norwich win looks the way to go in this clash but it could be worth boosting the price with a victory to nil, which is available at 17/10.

Daniel Farke’s men have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four outings at Carrow Road.

Cherries to Come Out on Top

Bournemouth, like Norwich, have also put in a number of good showings to suggest that they could be heading straight back to the Premier League.

The south coast club are second, just one points shy of the Canaries following a three-game winning run.

They travel to Rotherham on Saturday in the hope of adding another three points to their tally.

Rotherham have struggled to string results together this season, failing to register back-to-back wins.

With an extremely hectic schedule on the horizon as we head towards December, now is the time for Bournemouth to start pulling away from their playoff rivals.

Saturday’s outing is the perfect opportunity to pick up another win and Bournemouth can be backed at 10/13.
