Greyhound Racing Tips: Anyname Can Make a Name at Towcester

Greyhound fans are in for a treat on Tuesday as Towcester hosts 12 competitive races.

There’s just a single open race on the Towcester card on Tuesday night, but it’s a big one, the final of the Juvenile Classic.

There is £12,500 up for grabs to the winning owners in a race full of dogs to follow for the rest of 2021.

Naming Mishap Can Have Happy Ending

The Juvenile Classic could turn into a messy affair that will suit Tom Heilbron’s Anynamewilldo, who is drawn in one. The two will move right and the four left, and he can slip up the inside at the turn to claim the prize.

He got his name after his trainer was left frustrated by a number of requests being turned down. At the bottom of a long list, he put Anynamewilldo as a joke, and that happened to be the one granted! Heilbron can have the last laugh tonight at 20.52.

Jet to Return to His Best

Bower Jet had his first run for Mark Wallis last week, a solid effort in his first race in six months. He looked a really nice recruit last autumn but could never live up to his potential.

He rattled off an A1 four-timer at Perry Barr in September and October, and a return to that level should see him more than capable of despatching his A4 opponents at 20.17.

Wallis Hoping to See Bullet Fire

The 19.36 sees Wallis’ Hopes Bullet down a level to A3, and this lower rung on the graded ladder can finally see him back to winning ways.

A classy type on his day, he won an A2 over this course and distance back in March but has been unable to back that up since. If he can find that level of form, he’d be hard to stop.

Henry’s King to Rule the Savana

The opening race on Towcester’s card is at 18.09, and it’s a competitive A2 race. Savana King will need to be on his toes when the lids rise, but he caught the eye on Derby Final night.

He wasn’t beaten far in fourth then, finding trouble early. A short head behind Savana Domino, who re-opposes, he was six lengths down on that dog at halfway. He can show what he’s capable of for trainer Diane Henry.

Newcomer Hoping to Make Immediate Impact

Putting up a newcomer is always a risk, but Sarahs Impact makes plenty of appeal in the 18.58 for Richard Devenish. She is from a nice family and has already taken a couple of decent scalps.

She came from behind stayer Blue Mischief to win a trial at the end of June before beating a multiple Newcastle A1 winner last time. They read very well in the context of this race as long as she takes to the occasion.
