There are seven open races on a mixed card at Harlow on Wednesday. As always a mix of two, four and six bend races to produce a great menu of action over the course of the evening.
Ragtime to Storm Home
A tight track and a test of stamina have regularly seen Ragtime Storm at her best. She has picked up back-to-back wins over this 592m test for Dan Brabon, looking set for a hat-trick now.
One win from in front and one from behind, she is an adaptable type and as a Category 1 finalist earlier in the year, her class can shine through again for at 20.43.
Ronnie to Prove on Trend
Brabon can double up on the card with Ronnie Trend in the 20.23. A decent performer at his home track despite that 480m being a touch too far for him, he should do better now that he tries 415m.
Although his stamina has given way over 480m, the times that he has produced are top drawer. A recent trial here to give him a look round should help and this could be the making of him.
Proctor’s Society to Come Home in Front
It’s a corker of a 415m contest at 20.03 where Front Society gets the vote for Kevin Proctor. She was drawn outside Slippy Con when runner-up to that rival in the heats of this competition last week, but is inside now.
Both Con and the number five dog, March On Henry, are very similar types. Front Society is capable of coming away quicker than she did last week and her draw between two slow starters looks like a perfect launchpad, especially if those two main rivals find trouble with one another.
The Return to Six Bends Can Allow Star to Shine
Jamie Kingsley can also double up on the night, his Liberty Star the one to be with at 7.44. She has been running well over Hove’s 500m of late and the step up to this 592m trip can see her back to winning ways.
She failed to get home over 642m at Central Park earlier in the year but she kept good company there and a recent trial at Harlow puts her in pole position over her main rival Chilli Habanero, who is yet to see this track.
Leclair to Appreciate Step up After Last Week
Leclair Noire is another for Kingsley who has been running well at Hove. She finds the 500m taxing her stamina so looks the ideal type for the drop back to 415m at Harlow.
Runner-up to a very smart yardstick in Poker King in both heats and the final of a 238m competition here over the last two weeks, she went past that rival after the line last time and can get her head in front in time over this trip.
