Queen Mother Champion Chase: Tips, Predictions, and Previews
It was supposed to be the supreme race of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival, but the fancied pair Altior and Chacun Pour Soi succumbed to injuries, much to the disappointment of thousands of racing fans. And startlingly, the reputable Defi Du Seuil finished in fourth-place leaving punters everywhere speechless.
The consequent victor was Politologue, but the aforementioned three remain at the pinnacle of the betting for this one. Altior, now a majestic 11-years-old, is one many will be backing to be victorious in 2021’s installment of the race. The spot for top-dog remains open for now, but the betting odds for the coming year do not shed much light on who will win, or who the out-and-out favourite is.
According to the odds, Chacun Pour Soi, at eight-years-old, has a 17% chance of reigning supreme next year. Altior, having triumphed fivefold at only ten-years-old, has an 11% chance of dominating the track, while 7-year-old Defi Du Seuil has acquired six wins and has a 9% chance of acquiring another. This year’s conquering hero, 9-year-old Politologue enters in with a 7% prospect of vanquishing his rivals once again.
