The Handicap Steeplechase is a Grade 3 handicap chase held every April at the Grand National meeting. While this isn’t the highlight of the meeting, enthusiasts still eagerly look forward to witnessing this 19 fence National Hunt race playing out each year.
If that is true of a typical year, it is doubly true of the upcoming 2021 Handicap Steeplechase. It could hardly be otherwise, following the Grand National meeting’s cancellation last year due to concerns about the global pandemic.
However, the race is on for this year—and so is the betting.

Handicap Steeplechase: Tips, Predictions and Previews
Happygolucky was rather unfortunate to run into an inspired Vintage Clouds at Cheltenham and Kim Bailey’s charge certainly holds excellent claims of going a place better now. Top Notch (Plate, third) and Cloudy Glen (Kim Muir, second) were also seen to good effect last month but maybe things will be right here for HOLD THE NOTE – fourth in the Kim Muir. Mick Channon’s charge is better off on these terms with Happygolucky compared to their Cheltenham clash in December and promises to be suited by this flat track. He’s some each-way value under Tom Scudamore before his mount in the big event.
