The English Greyhound Derby is the biggest dog racing event in the world. The meeting takes place in June or July and is run at Towcester over 500 metres.
North of the border, the Scottish Greyhound Derby is the most prestigious meet of the year. The race is run over 480m at Shawfield Stadium and takes place in April every year.
The Irish Greyhound Derby offers one of the largest prizes in greyhound racing to the winner. The Irish Derby was first run in 1928 and today it takes place in Shelbourne Park in Dublin every September.
The East Anglian Derby has been going strong since 1975. The race is run over 462 metres in September each year at Yarmouth race track.
The Select Stakes is run at the Nottingham Greyhound Stadium in July, and is one of the featured events on the UK greyhound racing calendar.
